This is my second experimental attempt at the art of solargraphy. I went into more depth about what this process is about in an earlier post which can be found here. Both of my Heineken beer can cameras where placed in spots off of the Shooting Star Trail in southeastern Minnnesota. They were left for 6 weeks. The above picture apparently didn’t have the right angle to capture the full arc of the sun trails but I kind of like the way the path of light leads to the distant bridge. The photo below was tilted up slightly which apparently added a little distortion for a different effect.

I’m really fascinated by this process and will continue to experiment with it. As an added bonus, while walking the trail to retrieve the cans, I was able to capture a shot of a pair of Trumpeter Swans in flight. They are truly magnificent birds.
