In my previous post I talked about a hike just south of the town of McIntire, Iowa in an ecoystem known as Oak Savanna. In addition to the interesting landscapes there was quite an array of Monarch Butterflies feasting on the blooming thistles and wild flowers. Here are a few of the shots I was able to capture.
